How a heat gun works
Heat guns generate controlled hot air through electric heating elements – either Mikanite or ceramic. An integrated fan blows air over the heating element, producing a precisely temperature-controlled airstream. Depending on the model, the temperature can be adjusted steplessly or in multiple stages between 50 °C and 750 °C.
Independent airflow control allows optimal adaptation to any material and application. High-quality heat guns feature a thermal cutout that protects the device from overheating.
