1 Measure
Measure the material thickness and select the appropriate blind rivet from the tables below.
2 Drill hole
Drill a hole (0.1 mm larger in diameter than the blind rivet) into the parts to be joined.
3 Loosen handle catch
Open the handle catch and insert the blind rivet mandrel into the mount.
4 Set the blind rivet shaft
Push the blind rivet shaft through the drill hole.
5 Break off the rivet mandrel
Press handles together. Repeat the process until the mandrel breaks off.
6 Done
The blind rivet is now in place.

This overview shows which blind rivet has the appropriate material thickness for riveting (depending on rivet diameter and length). This dimension is generally referred to as the clamping length (K).
Tips
- Washers should be used when riveting soft materials such as leather or plastic.
- To avoid contact corrosion, the workpiece and rivet should be made of the same material for metal joints.
- The diameter of the hole should always be 0.1 mm larger than the diameter of the blind rivet.
